Privacy policy
Coptic Charades is made by Sought and Found. This policy explains what the app does with information. In short: we don't collect personal information, there are no accounts, ads or tracking, and anything you record stays on your device.
Information we don't collect
The app has no sign-in and doesn't ask for your name, email or contacts. It contains no advertising, analytics or tracking tools, and it doesn't share information with data brokers or advertisers.
Decks
The app downloads decks (words, descriptions and cover images) from our server, hosted by Supabase. Like most web services, the server may briefly log technical details of each request, such as your IP address and the time, to keep the service running. These requests don't include anything that identifies you, and we don't use them to track you. Downloaded decks and images are stored on your device so the app works offline.
Camera and microphone
The camera and microphone are used only when you turn on Record this round, and only while a round is playing. iOS asks your permission first, and you can change it anytime in the Settings app.
Recordings are saved only on your device, in the app's Memories tab. They're never uploaded to us. A recording leaves your device only if you choose to share it, AirPlay it, or save it to Photos, using the standard iOS share options. Deleting a recording in Memories removes it from the app.
Settings
Your preferences, such as round length, sounds and whether to record, are stored on your device.
TV and AirPlay
When you mirror to a TV or AirPlay a video, the content is sent directly from your device to the screen you choose, using Apple's built-in features.
Children
Coptic Charades is made for all ages and doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children. If you record children, please get permission from their parents before sharing the video.
This website
This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or trackers, and loads no fonts or scripts from other companies. Our host, Netlify, may keep standard server logs such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
